Chelsea of GYCT has a coupon code for all you lovely people. “LOVEME” will get your 30% off the Love Me Knot Shorts pattern in the Etsy store. While you’re at it, add the Shortie Nightgown and Bloomers pattern to your order and use the code “SHORTIE20” for 20% off. That’s right. Two awesome patterns, two awesome codes! The codes are good until Saturday, which also happens to be my birthday. So, yeah! Even more awesome.

Head on over to her Etsy store and browse around all the fabulous patterns. You won’t regret it.

Can I hit you up with some more fabulousness, think you can handle it? Spell check says fabulousness isn’t a real word. Spell check is wrong. Head on over to the GYCT blog. There is a blog tour going on for the Shortie Nightgown. AND a giveaway! Three winners will win the Shortie Nightgown pattern. Yeah. THREE winners! It is 9pm MST right now, and according to the Rafflecopter on the site you have 4 days and 2 hours to enter the giveaway. But don’t delay. You know you’ll forget. Just go do it now.

And if you’d like to read what some of the other testers of the Love Knot Shorts thoughts were, go and read their blog posts.
Alyssa’s Blog – Keep Calm and Carrion. I’m a big fan of Alyssa. Ever since I read her blog posts on being a better pattern tester, I’ve decided that she’s super awesome, and get really excited whenever we end up in a testing group together. Stalker much?
Melissa’s Blog – Rebel&Malice. Browse all over Melissa’s blog. We were in another pattern test recently for a women’s top. I hope she does a review on it and posts pictures. They were beautiful. Don’t let her tell you otherwise. The color she chose was fabulous!
Meriel’s Blog – Create 3.5. Her daughter giving the “scary eyes” is too cute to miss. Go. You’ll see. And she’s right, someone really needs to come up with a better name than “sewer.”
Deborah’s Blog – Sprouting Jube Jube. Denim! She used denim! Denim freaks me out, but she used it, and they are the cutest! And I love the little top her daughter is wearing.
Jessica’s Blog – The Berry Bunch. She bribed her niece with the shorts and getting to pick pocket placement to model for her. Her niece rocked those shorts. One pair with one pocket on the front, and the other with one on the back. Good job little fashionista! And again, denim. Braver than me. I run in fear from denim.
Kim’s Blog – Sew & Tell with Mama Eggo. Don’t you love Kim’s fabric choices? I’m drawn to gray, I just can’t ignore it. I love them.

I hope I didn’t miss any of the blogs from the other testers. It was so awesome to be in a group with all these ladies. They’re all so talented. I hope you take a moment to stop by their blogs and gush over how talented they all are. AND don’t forget about those coupon codes and the giveaway!

About manningthemachine

I'm Laura. Mama to four, and wife to one awesome guy. I'm ever so slightly sarcastic. Just a little bit. I like to quote movies, but since our house is managed by little people, most of those quotes come from kiddie shows. At least my husband generally gets the references. It makes me feel less awkward. I took sewing lessons starting at the age of 8, through the Kids Can Sew program. I took lessons for four or five years. Then I became a snotty teen and decided sewing was lame. I've repented of my ways, and enjoy sewing for my little ones. And sometimes other people. And almost never for myself. Oh hey. My blog name. "Manning The Machine." I think it's probably only funny if you know me in real life. And even then, maybe it is only funny to me. My last name is Manning. This is a blog about my sewing. Manning The (Sewing) Machine. Do you get it? Do you? No. That's fine. I think it's funny even if you don't.

Thanks for the shout-out! My pea brain totally replied to the “no reply blogger” comment you left on my post….. so it’s lost out in cyberworld….. but here’s what I said in my reply…. hehehehe

It’s actually from Joanns! I do have more…. but I kinda love it, too. There’s a little bit of light blue in the background, too, which I just loved (I love girly flowers that aren’t JUST girly colors!)

    ta-da!

Just looked at the selvage info – “colorbok” – and found it online – – – I just got it about 4-6 weeks ago (in store) – so I’m guessing you might also find it at a local store! It’s called colorbok mono tiny blossom gray and white!

I love grays, too! LOVING it as the “in” neutral these days – – – much prettier than brown… or black… and I avoid white if possible!

Thanks for saying hi – it was fun to test with all of you gals, too!

    • I’m in Canada. No Joann’s here. Sad face. Why does shipping have to be so much to Canada, Kim? Why? That one little yard goes from $6.99 to $16.95 with Canadian shipping. Actually, it really isn’t that bad. I’m just feeling whiny about it. You guys south of the border get all the cool fabric, and cool fabric store. Sad about it! And I agree, much prettier than brown, and while black is nice, I’m getting bored of everything being black.

You are so awesome for the shout out! Thank you! And I feel the over tired momma too, as I also replied to the no-reply blogger… Gah!!

My niece is totally the little fashionista! and so in love with the shorts! I’ll have to take her out flying kites in our wind so she can rock it in the park (or our backyard which is much more likely)! 😉
